Danish importers often source cast components for pumps, valves, food equipment, energy and marine applications. A reliable quotation begins with the correct European material standard, application requirements and documentation scope.

Material and regulatory scope

State the EN material grade, heat-treatment condition and any acceptable equivalent. If the casting is part of pressure equipment, marine hardware or food-contact machinery, the buyer must define the applicable directive, class rule or customer specification. A foundry certificate alone does not establish compliance for the complete assembly.

Drawing and inspection planning

Provide metric drawings with revision control, datums and critical dimensions. Agree the first-article report, material certificate type, surface acceptance and any dye penetrant, radiography or pressure testing. Inspection requirements should reference a standard and acceptance level.

Corrosion and surface requirements

For stainless components used near seawater or process fluids, specify alloy, pickling, passivation or polishing. Surface appearance and technical roughness are different requirements; both should be defined when they matter. Packaging must prevent contamination by carbon steel during storage and transport.

Delivery to Denmark

Agree Incoterms, delivery address, packing list detail and marking before placing the order. The buyer should confirm customs, VAT and product-compliance responsibilities with its own adviser. Forecasts and call-off quantities help the foundry plan alloy purchasing and machining capacity.
